The Ann Arbor News is reporting...
The faculty, staff and students from Eastern Michigan University's College of Education have also formed a local chapter of Project Backpack. On Monday morning, students and staff members will stuff backpacks with school supplies in room 301C Porter Building on the EMU campus. A moving truck will leave at noon Monday from EMU and arrive in Baton Rouge, La., on either Wednesday or Thursday.
A second delivery is schedule for the second week of October.
Fourteen schools have partnered with EMU along with local churches, Jaycees and local businesses.
In addition, five EMU professors will travel to East Baton Rouge Parish Schools offering support to teachers and staff members.
How can no one know of this? Why is there no communication at EMU? Follow up soon to come!
