Arson at EMU?

A campus wide email was just sent out about suspected arson on campus at the Office of Student Judicial Services over the weekend.

The following is from Student Judicial Services:

Dear members of the EMU community:

The Office of Student Judicial Services (SJS) was the target of what appears to be arson over the weekend.  While causing some inconvenience, this act has not disrupted the office’s services for students, faculty and staff.

The department continues to work toward its mission of maintaining a campus environment that is conducive to learning, protects the university's educational purposes, maintains reasonable order on campus, and defends the rights of all members of the University community.

Hearings will proceed as scheduled.  Questions regarding pending cases should be directed to the department, which has been relocated to the Snow Health Center.

2. Handling of student employment grievances.
3. Investigation of student-to-student sexual harassment claims.
