We are looking for the following items to spread holiday cheer so all the families at Eastern can enjoy this holiday season:

Household Items

Food - Non-Perishables

Laundry & Dish Soap

Toiletries – Shampoo, Soap, Tooth Care, etc.

Non-Denominational Holiday Decorations

Gift Cards – Farmer Jack, Kroger, Meijer, Target, etc.

For Children

Unwrapped Gifts for kids all ages. Infants to Teens

Toys Books Crafts

New or Gently-Used Clothing

As a good rule of thumb, try and think of what items you would be happy to receive this holiday season and share your joy with others.

For your convenience, SWA members will be visiting most classes to receive your donations. There will also be a drop off table on the second floor of Marshall from Monday November 28^th to Thursday December 1^st. Or you can also visit Richard, Mel or Betty in the Social Work Department on the third floor of Marshall.

Florida Chief Bans Women Firefighters From Burning Buildings

Women fire fighters in Clearwater Florida have been barred from entering burning buildings after threats by male fire fighters they they would not be protected in the line of duty. Investigations have been launched by Chief Jamie D. Geer. But in a profession such as this can the damage done by threats like these?
